This story proves that one can be a government peon to become crorepati. Bhagyadhar Das, who works as a peon at the collector's office in Cuttack is a more than a crorepati.According to the reports,Vigilance officers discovered that the peon's salary is less than Rs10,000 but he has assets worth more than 2crore.
Also the reports says that he owns palatial houses with most luxirious amenities in Jaipur besides other places.Apart from these assets he also owns huge amount of properties including land,cash and jewellery.In addition to all these,the Vigilance officers found half kg gold along with huge amount of cash from his houses.
According to the details given,Das earlier worked as a chainman in the land consolidation department at Chatia in Jajpur district for nearly 20 years and in 2009 he was transferred to the record room of the Cuttack collector's office as a peon.The vigilance officials said that based on the complaint,they riaded his houses and were shocked that the peon had assets more than 2crore.
